The "Shadow Image" is Marie Dixon-Ames' trademark style. By painting a larger view of the animal the personality is captured, while the smaller rendition portrays the animals physical appearance and quite often unique style of posture. The larger image is frequently painted with more subtle colors, giving the distant shadowed image.
